Something New: Film Flipbooks (Alphonse Swineheart/The Curious)

We live in the age of recycled fashion, of retro looks made new again and a drive towards an old-time aesthetic. I don’t know about you, but so many lessons at school were spent creating flipbooks in the corner of my exercise books, and Alphonse Swineheart (The Curious) has found a way to bring them into the digital era.

By exporting frames of video, printing them out and re-arranging, Swineheart creates flipbooks that harness digital technology but have that concrete interaction which we all remember.
